Fifty Third and Fifty Fourth Days – The twenty first and twenty second days of working from home and the sixth Bible Study video chat. Both days of work went well. I focused despite having to help my nephew with his school work. However, from next week, school will be back full time, so that will be good. It would be better for both of us. He’ll get the attention he needs in the classroom environment, and I’ll be able to focus better at work. (See below for praise point.) Bible study was back, so that was good too.
Philippians Chapter 2 is a rather important chapter. Paul was writing to the Philippian Christians about the character of Christ and how we should be like Him. (And not just in His humility, but in other ways too. Being selfless.) Prayer points: Discernment and wisdom for a couple as one of their children wishes to be baptised at a rather young age; healing for older relatives. (A procedure on a melanoma, and for recovery from a stroke; Another child is sad. Praise points: One person’s breathing is recovering and that I have been able to help my nephew with his schoolwork.
Forty Seventh Day – The nineteenth day of working from home. Work went well. There was more focus, so that was good. However, there wasn’t any Bible Study. Most were weary, and in need of rest. But it should be on next week. Prayer request: that those who need rest would get it.
The Thirty Third Day – the thirteenth day of working from home and the fourth Bible Study video chat. Work. The focusing still needs work, so to say, but the music is helping there. The connecting with colleagues change, but that is OK. It will change. Bible Study was less busy. (As in less couples connected, but they were busy with their families, or work. I’ll be praying about that.) We continued with Crazy Love. Chapter 9, with mini testimonies of those who gave up everything to follow Christ to bring the Gospel to those who otherwise wouldn’t have received it.
Rather good, and a challenge, as in how to spread the Gospel (especially at this time, but also in ‘business as usual times’). Prayer requests: That those families would be able to join us in the study in the weeks ahead. Healing for those who need it. Also, that I would leave a similar legacy in the faith as my recently deceased grandmother.
Twenty Sixth Day – The tenth day of working from home and the third night of Bible Study over video chat. Work went well. The workflow was what it should be, but again focusing can be an issue. However, Bible Study went well, continuing the read through/discussion based on Francis Chan’s book Crazy Love. That book has certainly been good in encouraging one’s faith and to focus more on Jesus. It was also good to engage in fellowship with the others. Even so, I need to reach out more to others in the congregation.
So, more prayer in that area is needed. (Discerning who to reach out to and encourage, and at what time.) That would be a prayer request, along with prayer for those in the congregation who would be struggling at this difficult time. Feel free to share yours.
23 September
Prayer - a lady suffering from complications of cancer. Possibly Terminal (within a couple of days). Healing, restoration and Life for her in Jesus' Name!
Also - comfort and peace for her family, especially her husband, at this difficult time.

Communion and Sermon notes )
A friend of mine hasn't come to Church for over a month, and over a week ago I learned that she was unwell (but no specifics). She still wasn't at Church this morning. So I would like prayer for her that she is healed of the health issues, and that she knows God's peace and presence at this difficult time.

My prayer )
A close friend (who shall remain anonymous) is very unwell. They are struggling with many issues, some of them serious. Please pray for healing for them from these issues, and that God will be with them in dealing with them in dealing with these issues. Also that they will trust God in everything.
