Excerpt from: Galactic Trouble

Soon the dinner was ready.

Christian and Kethia sat on one side, with a space between them for Kevin who had not yet come home. Cameron, Quinn and Stevie sat on the other. Christopher and his wife sat at the ends.

“You have called Kevin?” Christopher asked, once they had all sat down.

“I have, the call went through to voicemail,” his wife, Kenna, said.

“I don't know why he is some troublesome!” Christopher said.

“I don't know either,” Christian said.

“Nor I,” Ketha said.

“He should be home later,” Christopher said. He looked at his wife, who said grace.

They then began to eat.


“So, what do you plan to do tonight?” Christopher asked.

“We'll watch a couple of movies. Then talk about the upcoming week,” Christian said.

“Get to know Stevie better,” Cameron said.

“Yeah,” Stevie said quietly. Louder he said. “Get to know them better.”

Christopher smiled. “That's a good plan,” he said.


Afte dinner, the four friends went back up to Christian's room.

“So, which movies do we have to watch?” Stevie asked as he entered after the others.

“I have quite a few, although most of them are still on VHS,” Christian answered.

“Let's look at the DVDs first,” Quinn suggested.

“Sure,” Christian said.

They looked at Christian's DVD's and VHS tapes and quickly found some movies. he first one theyd decided to watch was an anime; Who can see the Future?

As they watched it they discussed the themes of the film.


“That was cool!” Quinn said, when the credits started rolling. “Though I hadn't heard of it.”

“It is fairly obscure,” Christian said.

The older Doctor knew what his younger self meant. “And then?” he asked with an edge to his voice.

“She also accompanied me to Crook Marsham and the Federation Universe.”

The older Doctor grimaced. The memories of what he did to Ace at the conclusion of the business at Crook Marsham were not pleasant. Not in the least. He was not sure that Felicia would have escaped the same treatment. He looked to Ace. She kept her face neutral, hiding her inner turmoil.

“How was she?” Tamsin asked Ace.

“What do you mean?” Ace asked.
