Snippet 1: (from episode 1: Lawndale 3000)

December 31, 2000
The room was empty when Daria Morgendorffer entered, carrying a pizza. “Delivery for IC Wiener?” she asked. There was no answer. All she saw were the cryogenics tubes. Many of the tubes were open.
She called out again. There was still no answer. She looked at her watch. 11:57. 2 minutes before the 30 minutes limit for Panouchi’s Pizza Palace ‘30 minutes, or it is free’ policy expired, 3 minutes before the New Millennium started in Lawndale. “If IC Wiener is not here before 11:59, I may as well eat the pizza myself,” she said. There was still no answer. She went over to a table near one of the open tubes and put the pizza and the note with IC Wiener, Applied Cryogenics, 10A/1000 Dega Street on it on the table.
She sat in the only chair, in front of the tube. After the time had expired she opened the pizza and started counting down...
As her watch approached midnight she grabbed a slice from the pizza.

Daria took a bite from the slice of pizza, chewed and swallowed. It tasted better than she thought.

Daria leant back. Big mistake, she somehow overbalanced. ‘Is something pushing on the chair?” she thought.

Daria fell into the cryogenics tube, the door slammed shut! ‘Oh no!’ Daria thought before she lost consciousness.

1000 years it said on the readout next to the tube that Daria had fallen into. The New Millennium had started in Lawndale, (and most of the United States eastern seaboard) but Daria Morgendorffer was in cryogenic suspension...
The Next Thousand Years
Applied Cryogenics remains empty for another week. Then the barely nibbled pizza is taken away, though the note remains.
A year later the note vanishes...
All around the building containing Applied Cryogenics Lawndale changes, the large town grows into a small city. Buildings decay and are demolished, they are replaced.
More of the tubes are occupied.
This repeats for a few centuries. Then Lawndale is mostly destroyed by an extraterrestrial attack! The building is one of many that are spared.
Another settlement replaces Lawndale, much more primitive (Renaissance level and also named Lawndale), but this grows and becomes more advanced, eventually reaching a steampunk level of technology. The Steampunk Lawndale is also destroyed a few centuries after its original founding.
Another settlement replaces the Steampunk Lawndale. The survivors retain their level of technology and establish a new settlement (New Lawndale), building this city above the ruins of the previous two settlements. This settlement continues to grow and advance for the rest of the millennium...

Early in the afternoon, Daria’s cryotube began to warm up. (5 minutes, the readout screen said.)
Daria stumbled out of the cryogenic tube. She realised that it was daytime. ‘How long was I in there?” she asked herself.
She notices that the room’s decor had completely changed, the only familiar objects being the cryogenic tubes and the window. She goes to the window and looks out in shock!
“Eep! The future!” she says. ‘I will never see my family, as much as they annoyed me, or Jane, again,’ she thought sadly.
