“Twenty-five light days, four light hours, forty-seven light minutes…”

“That’s enough, Data.”

“Yes, sir.”

“We have changed course to investigate,” Picard said.

Enterprise dropped out of warp near the source of the transmission.

“Range, five thousand kilometers,” Data reported.

“Any life signs?” Picard asked.

“None detected,” Data reported. “But their hull might be blocking our scans.”

The captain turned to Troi. “Are you sensing anything?”

“It’s fine, Daddy.”

“Really?” Jake asked.

“Although. Why won’t we go to Pizza Forest tomorrow night? Like when I was a kid?” Quinn asked.

Having bought the paper, they left the gas station and headed back towards the park containing the portal.

“Yes.”

“Fifty dollars an hour!” Jane groused as she approached the art classroom. That was the amount Mr. Ewing had quoted for the average Math tutoring cost in Lawndale. She doubted it would be any cheaper in Oakwood.

“And more Daleks would replace those that this Dalek would take out,” Clara pointed out. “It wouldn't be much of a reprieve.”

“It would still be a reprieve,” Morgan responded.

“It's not being repaired!” Susan said.

“You're not listening to us!” Clara said. “We're not helping you. You would have to do it yourself.”

“We could force you,” Morgan said.

“That would be a terrible mistake!” Clara said.

“Why would that be?” Morgan asked.

“We could cause it to self destruct,” Susan answered.

“And take yourselves out with it? I don't think so,” Morgan said, calling Susan's bluff.

“Called my bluff did you? Still, I'm not going to help you!” Susan responded.
